Though Ava does like to be the boss, Alex will make his voice heard if his sister is taking over too much. No matter what, he loves to play with Ava and often misses her when she is at school. They giggle a lot, act silly a lot, and try to be in charge of each other (a lot!).
With Sofia, Alex enjoys the role of big brother. He knows she is his baby sister - you can see that he sees her as this chubby, adorable, little baby, who he really just wants to squeeze. Alex is always concerned about Sofia, wants to check on her constantly, even at school. Now that she is getting more interactive, the two of them are just having the best time!
Alex never forgets to give anyone hugs, and often gets quite upset if he feels anyone left him without getting one. He looks for any excuse to giggle and enjoys any kind of silliness. He gets devastated if he hurts anyone's feelings, and really wears his heart on his sleeve.
For his actual birthday, we had Vovo and Voovoo over for fajitas (his choice) and cupcakes. It was the middle of the week, so it was a bit more hectic, but still plenty of fun. I cannot imagine our family without this little guy who embodies pure joy. I love you, Alex!!!
