Potty training begins ...

well we are just getting Ava interested in potty training...she enjoys the praise, all the extra songs we're singing, and opportunity to wear her new "calcinhas" - we will see how long it takes us, but so far so good!!!

Sibling love!! :)

Ava really loves her little brother.  She wants to hold him, kiss him, sit next to him, any chance she gets.  It is really very sweet to see how much she loves Alex.

Ava's 2nd birthday!!!

Ava had a great 2nd birthday!!  All week we had been building up to it, asking her what she wanted to do for her birthday.  She said that she wanted to play in the pool, specifically that she wanted "Vovô to jump in the pool and play with Ava" - considering she had gotten to do that the weekend before.  Ava also said she wanted cake, with chocolate frosting, and sprinkles.  Her wish was my command ;)

First we celebrated on Friday, Ava's actual birthday with Vovó.  We had pizza, played with Bridgette and Aiden, and kick started the fun!  Vovô was out of town, but sent Ava her first flower bouquet, complete with a smiley face vase.

Then for Saturday, we organized a low key party for her with family and close friends -  those who were able to attend were Vovó, Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Bobby, Aunt Heather, Bridgette, Aiden, the Gaworeckis, the Kvellos, and the Regitz's.  The pool looked like baby soup!!! Babies and balls everywhere! :)  It was so much fun - even though she was exhausted, she talked about the party the whole way home!  Thank you all for making it such a great party!!

When Ava was 2 months old, she already started talking to her Vovó...now Alex, at only 7 weeks of age, has already begun to do the same!!!
