Alex's first roadtrip

At five months old, Alex finally got to go on his first road trip.  We went to Dallas for him to meet his other cousins and to go celebrate his cousin Aiden's first birthday.

Alex did great!  He slept most of the car ride there and back, and so did Ava for that matter.  Thanks to uncle Trey and aunt Missy, we got to stay with them and give the kids plenty of time to play.  Ava and Payton even got to stay up late playing!!!!  The girls had a blast, and Ava keeps talking about Payton and can't wait to see her again!

Even Alex got in on the mix... but he is all boy, even if he is completely surrounded by pink girly toys!

Aiden's birthday party was a lot of fun.  Aunt Heather and uncle Bobby had all the details covered for the circus-themed birthday party, and there were quite a few little friends there too!  Vovo even got surprised with a birthday cake to celebrate his birthday too.  The girls were quite happy to help him dig in to his cake, and of course Ava and Bridgette needed to "help" blow out the birthday candles.

I couldn't ask for anything more.  A weekend filled with family fun and the opportunity for our kids to get to know, play, and build long lasting memories of fun with their cousins.

 The circus theme was super cute, and the "photo booth" set up was great.  There were plenty of "family" portraits taken - too cute not to share!

So little, yet so possessive! Aiden wanted to make sure that Alex knew that Vovo was his. He was not too happy to see Vovo holding another baby, especially with a chupeta just like his.

 On Sunday, we had brunch with the family to celebrate Vovo's birthday on his actual day.  So cute to see the kids all together...just little people, fully participating in the celebration!

Aiden once again tried to show Alex who was boss when it came to sitting with his Vovo!

 These kids are way too advanced!!  Ava and Bridgette were playing with "their" iPhones, Bridgette with her games and Ava with her YouTube videos.  There is no need to have Mommy, Daddy, or Vovo help Ava, as she can unlock Mommy's phone (she knows the password), find the YouTube application, and select the videos that she wants...all by herself! Vovo just shakes his head in disbelief at these little ones!
